§04 · Year One

Look back at our first year.

In its inaugural year, InnoFest drew 35 submissions from medical and pre-medical students nationwide. A field of finalists earned a spot to pitch live at AMSA's national convention in Washington, D.C., in front of judges from Google Health, HP Health, Thalamus, and BK-XL.

2025 Grand Prize winner: Eden. InnoFest 2025, Washington, D.C.

A student-led startup advancing equity through workflow automation.

Naomi Rajput co-founded Eden AI in 2023 to address the digital health equity gap for mobile health clinics serving Medicaid and rural populations. Eden AI raised $60,000 in angel funding, secured paid pilot contracts with mobile health programs and clinics across the East Coast, and was recognized on lists including Boston's 25 Under 25 and Women Who Empower as a standout in healthcare innovation. The company reached close to 28 clinics, pairing technology with hands-on education to support equitable care delivery.
